True In-House QC (QEIs)

ELCON’s in house quality assurance division is truly the only one of it’s kind. It is made up of all nationally recognized QEI certified quality control inspectors and NEIEP (National Elevator Industry Education Program) trained vertical transportation technicians. Each inspector is directly responsible for monitoring all equipment conditions within their respective regions. They are required to continuously monitor and physically examine all contracted equipment on a systematic basis.

All current performance conditions, noted equipment deficiencies and/or recognized code violations of any sort shall be documented and submitted in duplicate to the authorized project manager and designated maintenance technician assigned to the specific equipment.

In the event of a noted deficiency, the project manager shall determine the manner in which to address the deficient conditions. Either by (A) Normal Corrective Maintenance Procedures, or (B) Proposal for Repairs Outside the Scope of the Contract.

(A) Normal Corrective Procedures:

If the noted deficiencies fall under the contractual repair category of our full service agreement, the project manager shall submit two copies of the Quality Control Inspectors report to the mechanic and/or service team selected to provide the necessary corrective actions. At which time, the technician in charge will be advised of the time period allotted to complete the appropriate repairs, make note of the corrected actions, and return one signed copy of the deficiency report to the office of the Project Manager and Quality Control Officer.

(B) Proposal for Repairs Outside the Scope of the Contract:

If the noted deficiencies fall outside the normal scope of our full service agreement, the deficiency notice will accompany a repair estimate addressed to the Facilities Manager, Contracting Officer or other appointed contract authority. The proposal will outline the required repairs, with a cost breakdown for associated labor and materials. Upon receipt of authorization to proceed, the Project Manager will immediately arrange to provide the appropriate repairs in accordance with the proposed scope of work.

Upon completion of the proposed repairs, the technician and/or service team chosen to provide the necessary corrective actions will furnish one signed copy of the completed repairs to the office of the Project Manager and Quality Control Officer.
