Preventative Maintenance

Our proven and exclusive comprehensive preventive maintenance program was designed to provide our customers with an avenue to preserve their investment by protecting their equipment against malfunctions associated with everyday wear and tear conditions.

ELCON’s experience encompasses projects utilizing one piece of equipment, to complete multiple unit contracts in excess of 500 units. ELCON currently contracts with most all local, State and Federal Government authorities to some capacity, while sustaining a substantially large base of commercial and residential properties with some of the most respectable realty management firms in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Elcon’s exclusive PM program is custom designed and modified to meet or exceed specific equipment demands within each contracted facility. It was originally developed through a compilation of all major equipment manufacturers specifications, the General Services Administration’s (GSA) “Elevator Guide Card System”, all local, ANSI and ASME code regulations pertaining to elevator applications, approved worldwide industry standards, and thirty plus company years of experience providing exceptional preventive elevator care throughout the Washington Metropolitan area.

Our annual preventive maintenance schedule is designed to instruct our field technicians as to the precise equipment contracted within each facility, and the frequency in which specific services are to be rendered in accordance with the original equipment manufacturers specifications. The schedule is provided to the customer for the purpose of affording authorized contract personnel the opportunity to constantly monitor the level of prevention performed on each elevator, escalator or other type of vertical transportation equipment. It describes in detail, as to the calendar week in which specific services are required on each and every unit listed within the contract.

Our dedicated maintenance technicians are all industry trained and nationally certified through the National Elevator Industry Educational Program (NEIEP). Their primary responsibility is to maintain equipment integrity and reliability by performing systematic preventive maintenance examinations and operational adjustments on all contracted equipment.
